Policies

Terms of sale, delivery, returns, warranty, privacy and legal notice. These policies are governed by the law of England and Wales and do not affect your statutory rights.

Terms of sale

These terms apply to every order placed with , trading as .

Who you are buying from

The seller is (see the Legal notice for company details). You can contact us at .

Prices

Prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT. Any delivery charge is confirmed in writing before you pay.

How an order works

Adding items to your cart and sending it to us is a request to buy, not a binding contract. We reply by email to confirm availability, the delivery charge and how to pay. The contract between you and us is formed when we confirm in writing that we accept your order after payment. If we cannot accept your order, we tell you and refund anything you have paid.

Who can buy

Orders are for adults aged 18 or over. By ordering, you confirm that you are at least 18.

Where each machine can be used

You are responsible for using each machine only where the law allows. In Great Britain:

  • Sur-Ron Light Bee X: off-road only, on private land with the landowner's permission, or on tracks. It is not registered or approved for public roads, pavements, bridleways or footpaths.
  • Sur-Ron Ultra Bee T: the only road machine in our Sur-Ron range. It is an L3e category motorcycle (125 cc equivalent). To ride it on the road it must be registered with the DVLA, taxed and insured, and you need a valid CBT certificate (with L plates, within its limits) or an A1, A2 or full A motorcycle licence, and an approved helmet.
  • City E-Bike and Folding E-Bike: electrically assisted pedal cycles (250 W, assistance cuts out at 15.5 mph). They can be ridden like a normal bicycle on roads and cycle paths by riders aged 14 or over.
  • X1 and X1 Pro e-scooters: for private use only. Privately owned e-scooters are illegal to ride on UK public roads, pavements and cycle lanes. They may only be used on private land with the landowner's permission. Government rental trials cover rental e-scooters only, not privately owned ones.

Riding where it isn't allowed can lead to a fine, penalty points on a driving licence and the vehicle being seized by the police. Changing the power or top speed of any machine changes its legal status: a modified road machine or e-bike is no longer legal on the road.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and the mandatory consumer law of your home nation applies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Delivery

Delivery to addresses in the United Kingdom.

Cost
Confirmed in writing before you pay.
Delivery date
The estimated delivery date is confirmed in writing with your order. Where no date is agreed, we deliver without undue delay, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Preparation
Each machine is set up and checked before it ships.
Risk
The goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to you or to someone you nominate.

When it arrives

Please check the packaging and the machine on delivery. If anything is damaged or missing, contact us at as soon as possible, with photos. This does not affect your rights if a fault appears later.

Returns

Your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Changed your mind

You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days, starting the day after you receive the goods (or the last item, if they arrive separately). You don't need to give a reason.

To cancel, send us a clear statement by email to , for example: "I cancel my order [order details], received on [date]. Name, address." You can also use the model cancellation form in Schedule 3 of the Regulations.

Sending it back

Return the goods within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling. Because these machines are large and contain lithium batteries, they cannot be returned by ordinary post: we arrange collection with you. You pay the direct cost of returning the goods; the estimated cost for your machine is confirmed in writing before you pay.

Your refund

We refund the price and the standard delivery charge you paid, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or of receiving evidence that you have sent them, whichever is sooner. The refund is made to your original payment method.

You may handle the goods as you would in a shop to check them. If the value of the goods is reduced because they were handled beyond that (for example, ridden, scratched or modified), we may deduct an amount reflecting the reduction in value.

Faulty goods

If the goods are faulty, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in addition to the right to cancel. See Warranty.

Warranty

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

What the law guarantees

The goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not:

  • within 30 days of delivery, you can reject them and get a full refund;
  • after that, you can ask for a repair or a replacement; if that fails or isn't possible, you can ask for a price reduction or reject the goods for a refund;
  • a fault that appears within six months of delivery is presumed to have been there at delivery, unless we can show otherwise.

These rights apply in addition to any manufacturer's warranty. Any manufacturer's warranty that applies to your machine is confirmed in writing with your order; it never reduces your statutory rights.

What is not a fault

Normal wear of parts such as tyres, brake pads, chains, belts and sprockets, and damage caused by crashes, misuse, lack of maintenance, competition use or unapproved modifications, are not faults under the Act.

How to claim

Email with your order details, a short description of the problem and photos or a video if you can. We tell you the next step.
